How to set as ringtone
iPhone
- Download the MP3 and save it to Files on your iPhone.
- Open GarageBand, create a new Audio Recorder project, then import the MP3 from Files.
- Move the clip to the start of the project, then go back to My Songs.
- Touch and hold the song, choose Share → Ringtone, then export and pick Use sound as.
Android
- Download the MP3 to your phone.
- Move the file to the Ringtones folder using a file manager (or your phone's Files app).
- Open Settings → Sound & vibration → Phone ringtone.
- Tap the + or My sounds option and pick your new MP3 file.

Why is there a 30-second limit?
iPhone and most Android phones cap custom ringtones at 30 seconds. Anything longer gets truncated when set as a ringtone, so we enforce the limit during export.
What audio format does my phone need?
Android accepts MP3 directly. For iPhone, import the MP3 into GarageBand and export it as a ringtone; GarageBand handles the ringtone format during export.
Can I use a song I bought from iTunes / Apple Music?
DRM-protected purchases can't be modified. Use an MP3 you own, a free-to-use track, or a song where the rights allow personal use.
How do I pick the best clip?
Use the play button to preview different sections. Most ringtones are most recognizable from a song's chorus or main hook — try centering the trim on that.
Do my files get uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser. The audio file never leaves your device.
